Self-adhesive labels are a kind of sticky label material that can be pasted on objects without additional glue. The structural components of self-adhesive are surface material, adhesive layer, and backing paper.

Glue layer: A layer of sticky substance formed by special treatment of glue and usually composed of water glue, hot melt glue, or solvent glue. Backing paper: The backing paper is also called release paper. Its non-adhesive surface can isolate the glue. Use it to attach to the facial paper to ensure it can be easily peeled off from the backing paper. A composite material, usually with silicone-coated protective paper as the base paper.

As an adhesive material, self-adhesive labels have their unique advantages and disadvantages.

Advantage:

3. Durability: Self-adhesive labels are firmly adhered to. Different surface materials and adhesives are selected according to different application scenarios, which can be heat-resistant, moisture-resistant, corrosion-resistant, deformation-resistant, low-temperature resistant, etc.
4. Repeatability: Some self-adhesive labels are made of good materials and can be pasted, peeled off, and reused many times while maintaining good viscosity.

Shortcoming:

1. Limited stickiness: The stickiness of self-adhesive labels depends largely on the surface shape and material of the object. For rough, porous materials or wet surfaces, the adhesive effect of the self-adhesive will be greatly affected.
2. Environmental impact: The viscosity of ordinary self-adhesive labels will be greatly affected by extreme temperatures, humidity, or dry environments, and the viscosity of the glue will decrease or completely fail.
3. One-time use: Most ordinary stickers can only be used once, and the effect of reuse after peeling off will be significantly reduced.
